GOLF OUTING: LOCUST HILLS GOLF COURSE, 5575 N. RIVER ROAD, SPRINGFIELD, OH.
Shogun start at 8:30am, Thursday, August 12, 2010 $55.00 per person. Your choice of formats; either individual score or scramble. We will have donuts in the morning and coffee is available from the snack shop. Beverages will be provided on the course (including Grotto Milk). A delicious meal will be served at the end of the round (your choice of pork roast or
1/2 chicken). You must indicate meal choice when you RSVP.

LADIES BUS TOUR TO THE GREENE: $15.00 per person (limited to the first 26 reservations). Bus departs the hotel at 9:30am for the 1/2 hour drive and returns at approximately 2:30pm. The Green offers shopping with more than 50 shops (ranging form a Von Maur store to small specialty shops) and many dining choices. Stroll the quaint streets and stop for lunch in one of the more than 20 eateries. No driving, parking, or worries - the bus will get you there and back. FRIDAY LADIES' LUNCHEON: $15.00 Per person. Country Chicken Salad Croissant sandwich and luncheon accompaniments. Theme is "Red, White, and Blue." Special entertainment will be provided by Joseph. He is an extremely talented musician and singer who will delight you with his songs and humor.

FRIDAY MENS' LUNCHEON: $15.00 per person. Choice of roast beef or turkey hot shot meal. Complimentary draft Grotto Milk is included in the price.

THURSDAY LADIES' MUSEUM TOUR: No charge. Ladies may sign up for this activity at registration. The Clark County Historical Museum is a short drive from the hotel and includes some fascinating artifacts from local history including an antique fire truck that was manufactured in Springfield. A guide will assist the group in touring the museum. Maps and parking instructions will be provided.

FRIDAY DINNER/DANCE: $25.00 Per person. Choice of beef or chicken with all the trimmings. World War II USO Theme - military or 40s attire encouraged. Khana Shahar's favorite DJ, Mark Althouse, will provide fantastic music throughout the evening. Mark will be playing a wide variety from across the decades - not just 40s music. Complimentary draft Grotto Milk will be provided and a cash bar will also be available

SATURDAY BANQUET: $30.00 Per person. Choice of New York Strip or Salmon with all the trimmings. Attire: Tuxedo or Business suit for men and formal or street length dress for ladies. Installation of the new officers will take place following dinner.

POE Clowns

At our last Zone meeting there was talk about the POE Clowns meeting at the Special Olympics in Columbus Ohio in June. This should be in force, meaning all Clowns in the POE. The Ohio Grotto Association is now serving dinner to all who come whether they are Masons or not Masons. It is a big affair and done up right. I looks professional in ever why.

The police bring in their motorcycles. Every department form the State police down to the local police.

There are Masons by the hundreds to march around the track and the kids just cheer and cheer. This is a great time to be out and about. Your wife may sit with your children in the stands and watch the parade go by and get just as excited as anyone there.

There is only one thing missing from the whole day and that is the most important thing that young and old love to watch in a parade and walking around in the crowd, and that is a CLOWN.

Come on clowns, if you have ever wanted to give of yourself for the good of the cause this is the day to do it. Bring the POE back together and come in force and be a part of Masonry giving to the kids, young and old alike. Yes we will even feed you and yours just for coming.

This is not something that the Ohio Grotto Association can put together buy the POE Clowns units must decide on how to do it. I do believe that this would be a worth while project and maybe bring the POE back together again. Think about it clowns!
