Back to the Future... Grotto Style

Given at May 2014 Zone Conference
By: Josh Anderson, OGA Officer, PM, SCDD
Estimated Length of Presentation: 25-30 minutes

This presentation is designed to discuss the fundamentals of planning and officer development within a Grotto. This is not a "how-to" for solving issues, but an overview of various aspects of creating an environment in which the Grotto can grow.

The beginning of this presentation is a little heavy and sets a more somber tone. The message here is that we need to move into the future by acknowledging our past and using it to guide us in the future. There are some notes on the individual slides to give pointers on what to talk about or discuss.

This presentation is designed more for officer and prospective officer attending. It is free for Grotto use. Please give credit to PM Josh Anderson for developing this presentation.

Four Grotto Questions

Given at May 2015 Zone Conference
By: Josh Anderson, OGA Officer, PM, SCDD
Estimated Length of Presentation: 25-30 minutes

This presentation is meant to be a lead discussion. The purpose of which is to make the attendees answer four simple questions about the Grotto in 2-3 words only.

The questions asked in this presentation are: "what is the Grotto?", "Why did you join the Grotto?", "What does the Grotto offer new members?", and finally "What should the Grotto be offering new members?". The goal is to have the participants actively answering and commenting on the answers given, but the answers should be limited to quick 2-3 word responses. This is not a program for pontificating, but for honest and fun discussion.

This presentation was written by Andersons Talk, the public speaking firm of PM Josh Anderson and PM Mark Anderson. It is free for Grotto use. Use outside of the Grotto is prohibited, please see AndersonsTalk.com for more information..
